Preparing for pickup
Be ready near the confirmed pickup time with necessary personal items, mobility equipment, identification, and destination information. Allow enough time for safe boarding and avoid scheduling a pickup too close to the appointment start.
Do not send medications, valuables, or paperwork without confirming who is responsible for them. National Transit drivers are transportation professionals and do not manage medications or provide clinical care.
Wheelchairs and mobility devices
Share the wheelchair type and any relevant dimensions or features when requesting transportation. The mobility device must be safe for transport and compatible with the available vehicle and securement system.
Companions and attendants
Tell us in advance if a family member, guardian, interpreter, personal care attendant, or service animal will travel. Space and arrangements must be reviewed before the trip is confirmed.
